American Steel is a valued extension of one of Northeast Iowa's most respected metal fabricators, with its roots extending over 30 years into the industry. Established in 2014 as a collaborating branch of Beal's Sheet Metal in Waterloo, American Steel specializes in custom fabrication and welding solutions. We are committed to serving projects of all shapes and sizes, providing clients with quality products, treating them with respect, and ensuring their long-term success.

At American Steel, we pride ourselves on our diverse capabilities that extend far beyond basic sheet metal needs. In response to a growing customer base, we separated the best aspects of Beal's Sheet Metal and recombined them to form two specialized facilities. This adjustment provided room for growth, better reflected our vast capabilities, and created a more advanced and efficient operation for our customers. We may be relatively new and unknown in the area, but our commitment to quality, flexibility, and respectful customer service remains unwavering.

Our Services

At American Steel, we specialize in welding and heavier metal fabrication, but we are fully capable of handling all aspects of production. Our experienced and skilled team forms custom solutions specific to each of our customer's needs and objectives. Our services include:

• Custom Fabrication: Our team is highly skilled in MIG and TIG welding, allowing us to provide custom metal solutions that meet unique expectations. We work with a variety of metals and materials, including angle iron, I-beam, round, square, and rectangular steel tubing, stainless steel, and more.
• Design and Delivery: We take care of everything from design to delivery, creating high-quality products that meet our customers' specifications. Our product gallery showcases our work with steel carts, cabinets, containers, customized trailers, stairs, and more.
• Industrial Solutions: Our heavier branch of production is highly skilled in MIG and TIG welding, as well as soldering. We have large-scale capabilities that adjust according to your imagination, and we comfortably accept new challenges, handle orders of all sizes, and enjoy developing creative solutions. Our most recent addition is a hydraulic pipe bender that allows us to create custom railings for stairs and other applications.

Our Inventory

Our commitment to serving projects of all shapes and sizes requires a large, steady inventory of various metals. We consistently stock our shelves with quantities of round, square, and rectangular steel tubing, I-beam, angle iron, stainless steel, aluminum, and much more. We try our best to anticipate all the unique cutting, bending, and welding needs of our customers.

Our Facilities

Quadrupling in size over the past few years allows us to spread out and operate more efficiently. Our two facilities are equipped with some of the industry's finest equipment, allowing our welders and fabricators to navigate through them with ease.
