Hello and welcome to Life in Balance Counseling, a safe and supportive space for self-discovery, balance, and growth. I'm Virginia, a bilingual licensed professional counselor (LPC) serving the Stone Oak area in San Antonio, TX. I provide a nurturing and nonjudgmental atmosphere where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we will work towards your personal goals, empowering you to cultivate unconditional self-worth, strengthen personal relationships, and cope with life's transitions.
About Me
As a therapist, I believe in the healing power of empathetic listening and supportive guidance. I tailor my approach to each client, using a variety of methods, including play, art, and writing, to facilitate self-understanding and personal growth. My dedication to fostering a strong therapeutic relationship is based on empathy, trust, and collaboration, as I help you identify and build upon your personal strengths and skills.
I hold a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary's University and have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in diverse settings. My professional background includes emergency shelters, private practice, and various areas of concern, such as grief and loss, depression, anxiety, self-worth, boundaries, social skills, acculturation, sexual abuse, exposure to community violence, trafficking, and trauma.
