Embrace the past. Transform the Future.
Bay Area Child Care Centers (BACC) is a nonprofit organization committed to providing high-quality care and education for preschool and school-age children in Fremont, California. Since 1992, we have been operating on Fremont Unified School District elementary school sites, offering before and after school care, full-time preschool, and summer enrichment programming. Our organization manages five elementary school sites (Gomes, Millard, Azevada, Oliveira, and Brier Elementary/Glankler School) and preschool programming at two of our sites (Brier Elementary/Glankler School and Millard Elementary).
Our philosophy is built on several core principles:
1. Providing a culturally enriching program that recognizes and celebrates each child's unique background.
2. Creating an inclusive program that promotes the physical, intellectual, and social-emotional development of each child.
3. Being a leader in providing the highest quality and standards in childcare.
4. Working productively with families to provide the necessary resources for academic and personal growth.
5. Demonstrating a commitment to the community we serve.
School-Age Programming
Our school-age childcare programming recognizes children as capable individuals in the process of developing cognitive, social, emotional, and creative skills. We offer a range of activities that cater to each child's unique needs and abilities, including supervised homework time, arts and crafts, outdoor play, gardening, cooking, science classes, and dance classes. We strive to create an environment that nurtures self-exploration and discovery through hands-on materials and activities.
Preschool Program
Our preschool teaching philosophy is based on research-based early childhood literature. We follow the California State Standards through the Preschool Learning Foundation guidelines and the Creative Curriculum for Preschoolers. Our framework focuses on children's physical development and health, social-emotional development, language development, and cognitive development. We are dedicated to providing a stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop with enthusiasm and engagement.
Summer Camp
Bay Area Child Care offers a summer camp program for kindergarten through 5th grade from June to August. The program includes arts and crafts, outdoor activities, sports, STEM projects, and field trips. Our summer camp is designed to offer children a fun-filled and enriching experience during the summer months.
