OM, is dedicated to helping her patients regain and nurture harmony in their body, mind, and spirit.
About Hedy Moreno, L.Ac., MSTCM, Dipl. OM
Hedy Moreno is a North Carolina licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) and a nationally certified practitioner of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM). She practices general and preventative medicine with a special focus on women's health, digestive issues, stress and emotional disorders, chronic pain, chronic degenerative conditions, and auto-immune conditions. Hedy earned her Master's degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco, CA, completing over 3,100 hours of training. She received clinical training at the ACTCM Community and Auricular Clinics and interned as a trainee with San Francisco-based fertility expert Dr. Lifang Liang. Her unique upbringing with acupuncturist parents and a chiropractor grandfather helped pave her path towards alternative medicine.
ACUPUNCTURE AND ADJUNCT THERAPIES
We offer a range of services to promote overall well-being, including:
- Acupuncture: The practice of acupuncture involves the insertion of hair-thin needles in specific points on the body that relate to the condition being treated. The points used work to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, regulate hormones and nervous system response, ultimately restoring balance and overall health in the body.
- Chinese Herbal Medicine: Classical Chinese herbal therapy is a highly advanced and customizable system of medicine that takes each patient's individual diagnosis and constitutional type into account to provide a focused therapeutic approach. These personalized formulas treat chronic and acute conditions as well as providing symptomatic relief between treatments.
- Adjunct Therapies: Other modalities like cupping (suction), gua sha (scraping), moxibustion (warming therapy), and tui na (Chinese medical massage) are adjunct therapies that are often included as part of a treatment when appropriate. These therapies enhance desired outcomes of the treatments and help facilitate the healing process by increasing blood circulation, relieving pain, and more.
FACIAL REJUVENATION AND MICRONEEDLING
In addition to our acupuncture and herbal medicine services, we also offer facial rejuvenation and microneedling treatments. Our microneedling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that stimulates collagen and elastin production, allowing the skin to absorb nutrients and serums more effectively. This natural and holistic approach to aging can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin texture, and enhance the overall health and appearance of the skin.
