Welcome to Wild Wish Counseling, a clinical group practice dedicated to providing support to individuals of all ages and identities. We believe that emotions play a vital role in finding wellness, and we strive to offer compassionate, transparent care to our community. Our clinicians are highly skilled and knowledgeable in evidence-based treatment for approaching mental health and well-being, with a commitment to ongoing education and training.

We understand that seeking therapy can be a daunting task, which is why we offer free introductions with our counselors. We want you to feel comfortable, safe, and seen while guiding you in your mental and emotional health growth process. Our top priority is your health, comfort, and trust.

At Wild Wish Counseling, we honor a holistic approach in supporting our clients and community. We recognize that our bodies are intrinsically linked to our emotions and our histories. That's why we are fortunate to share space with Marty Dawson, LMT, who specializes in the Trager method, a form of bodywork that releases the years of trauma held in our bodies. This method allows us to move forward emotionally and physically from the events of our past, making it an excellent addition to talk therapy.

Our Services

Our clinicians offer a range of services, including individual and group therapy, specialized care, and a commitment to ethical and informed care. We understand that mental health challenges can take many forms, including depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, loss, addiction, and navigating relationships. That's why we offer specialized care and advanced training to ensure that we can provide the best possible support to our clients.

Our graduate intern clinicians participate in ongoing supervision and consultation and attend accredited programs in our local area. We believe that being comprehensively witnessed, having your identity understood, and your narrative comprehended, are most important to the therapeutic process of healing.

Trager Method

The Trager method was developed to release the years of trauma held in our bodies, allowing us to move forward emotionally as well as physically from the events of our past. For many of our clients, this particular form of bodywork is incredibly beneficial and the perfect addition to talk therapy, supporting both the body and the heart.

Meet Marty Dawson, LMT

Marty Dawson, LMT, possesses an aura of calm joy and kindness, as well as over 40+ years as a Trager Practitioner and Massage Therapist. Marty's training led to Esalen Institute in 1980, where she found the joy of doing the Trager Therapy Approach and Esalen Massage in Portland Oregon. Each step along the way, Marty learned about her pain and explored deeper into herself. It was Trager that freed her pain, and she has been helping others find the same freedom ever since.
