Were so glad we chose Udi and Maya Construction for our kitchen remodel. We bought a condo with a 20+-year-old, cramped kitchen (a closet at one end ate up counter space). Our scope included new cabinets, countertop, backsplash, floor tile, and appliances.

Several contractors warned the popcorn ceiling would look patchy after removing the closet and said it couldnt be blended. Udi was the only one who proposed a smart solutiondrop the ceiling slightly and add recessed lights. The result is clean, bright, and open, exactly what we wanted.

Udi was responsive, professional, and honest. As first-time homeowners, we appreciated how he guided our decisions and offered practical advice. His crew was punctual, respectful, and skilled. Like any project, a few things didnt go exactly to plan, but Udi consistently brought solutions and addressed issues quickly. For example, our ceiling was lower than the hood spec, and his team cut the chimney to fit perfectly. They also went above and beyond: picking up tile, receiving the sink and faucet, and bringing everything to the unit, which meant a lot since my husband was overseas during the project.

We love our new kitchen and would 100% recommend Udi and his team Maya Construction. They made the project surprisingly painless, and even enjoyable (I joked the hardest part was waking up for it since Im not a morning person and the crew starts at 8!). Their quote was on the higher end of what we received, but the quality and peace of mind were worth every penny.

I used Maya for a bathroom remodel. I am a repeat customer as I returned to them for the bathroom job after they had done my kitchen and basement years before. Their work is excellent, and Udi and Ofer are great communicators who keep all the pieces moving and remember even the smaller loose ends and open items. The work is quality and done so well -- they do things as they are supposed to be done, and with clean, sharp execution that makes you feel very good as the homeowner. They problem-solve as things come up, and are straight-shooters with information, options and a professional/approach. I give them my highest recommendation.

Highly recommend Maya Construction! We just wrapped up reno on a 1br/1ba condo and it came out beautifully, on budget and ahead of schedule! Udi and his team did an amazing job. And we live out of town so all of this was done remotely, they were awesome!

We used Maya Construction for our cabinet installation after ordering the cabinets from Planet Cabinets, and we're extremely happy with their work. They finished in about two days and did a great job. We had one issue with our paneled fridge, but they helped us get the look we were looking for.

Maya did a great job on our kitchen remodel. They demo'd and removed our existing countertops, backsplash, sink, lighting, and one wall of cabinetry (including built-in fridge and wall oven), while being careful not to damage any of the cabinetry and flooring we were keeping. They installed attractive new cabinets on one side of the kitchen, along with a new fridge and microwave; did the plumbing and electrical work, and painted the walls and ceiling. The tiling job they did was really exceptional. We had a brick pattern for most of it, but they managed to integrate the herringbone pattern we wanted behind the stove, and it turned out beautifully. Ofer, Stan, and the rest of the crew were really easy to work with, worked hard, and were flexible with our schedule. I'd work with Maya again in a second.

Maya finished our basement a couple of months ago. The final product was well beyond our expectations. Udi, Ofer, and the entire crew were punctual, professional, super available and communicative, and the work they did was absolutely 5-star. Were doing a bathroom remodel in the next year and wouldnt think of having anyone else do it. They are fantastic!

My husband and I hired Maya Construction earlier this year for a full kitchen, entryway and office remodel, and we couldnt be happier with our decision! Udi and Ofer were fantastic to work withthey were organized, communicative, and provided thoughtful guidance throughout the entire process. From the beginning they were open and honest, taking the time to walk through different options and ensure we understood all the unknowns going in. Their transparency during the estimate process made us feel confident in their work and decisions.
What really stood out was their flexibility and willingness to collaborate. We faced a few unexpected challenges along the way, but they were always ready with creative solutions that allowed us to keep the project on track without compromising the overall design and vision. They also were willing to let us purchase our own materials, and offered to review our selections and provide helpful advice along the way.
Their crew was professional, courteous, and committed to high-quality craftsmanship. The foreman, Stan, was incredibly knowledgeable and came up with a configuration for our HVAC that eliminated the need for a soffit (which wouldve been the easiest solution but one I really didnt want!). Another crew member, Wesleys, installation of marble checkerboard tile in our foyer is flawless. The finished rooms are beautiful and the work exceeds our expectations!

My partner and I recently had our kitchen remodeled by Maya Construction and we couldn't be happier with the results! Not only is our new kitchen gorgeous, meeting all of our requested upgrades and then some. But Maya Construction made it easy throughout with quick and efficient communication, timely work and a friendly crew that was always willing to answer any questions that we had. They also provided many great suggestions for where to find good appliances, backsplash tiles, faucets and other items that we asked for them to install during the remodel. Ofer and Jack were fantastic and I always felt like they were straight shooters with information, explaining everything in an easily digestible way for someone who is not as familiar with the ins and outs of the construction industry, and not trying to upsell me along the way. And to top it all off, they got the work done much quicker than originally expected, which was a relief around the holidays.

If you're looking to get remodeling work done in your home, I would highly recommend Maya Construction. We did a lot of research and spoke to a few different contractors before making our decision to go with them, and they did not disappoint!

Excellent work by all of their teams. The total tear-out of the kitchen to the studs & floor joists was completed in a couple days and the installation of new walls, ceiling, floor, electrical, plumbing, flooring, cabinets and appliances was completed with few delays (delays mostly because I was intermittently out of the country for a few weeks). When numerous custom alterations to various aspects of the installation were requested, they made the modifications and re-installations quickly and without undue discussion; "we're installing your kitchen design, not ours!" was their response to every alteration. These guys are good and I would use them again if I had another kitchen to renovate!

I could give Maya 10 stars I would. I had a major kitchen remodel that included removing a load-bearing wall. Udi and Ofer were fantastic partners. They not only did an amazing job on a complex project, they were also great consultants and advisers. They were extremely organized and communication was excellent. Plus they are just darn likeable guys.

I also used Planet Cabinets, the sister company, for my cabinets. Very pleased with the product.

Maya Construction did an amazing job with our master bathroom remodel. They were on time, on budget, efficient, professional, and attentive. Our master bathroom now feels like a spa and it looks fantastic. They also helped to move our washer and dryer upstairs from the basement.

We will definitely use them again in the future and I would recommend them to family and friends.

Maya Construction absolutely saved the day and if we did this project all over again we would not hesitate to select Maya Construction to take on our hardwood flooring project from the get-go.

Our condo is located on the first floor of a 100-year-old three floor building in Chicago. In March 2021, we reached out to several flooring companies to have them view our home improvement project and decided to go with Luna Flooring and was that a huge mistake.

The Luna salesperson was different from the people who came out to install the hardwood and they were different from the person that we dealt with when it came to customer service problems. Luna started the project one morning tearing out a 20 ft by 4 ft stretch of hardwood of our before packing up after an hour and saying they couldnt complete the project and someone from Luna would call us. We waited around for 8 hours for a call from Luna just to tell us there was nothing they could do and we needed to acquire a general contractor to finish the job. It took a week to get our refund from Luna and several back-and-forth phone calls with an Installation Manager who never stepped foot in our home.

This is when we called Maya Construction and literally the next day Udi came on site to view the problem and provided a quote for the project. Udi was always responsive, took time to answer questions and compared to Luna, Maya Construction was without a doubt a superior experience.

Maya Construction demod the old wood, installed a completely new subfloor and floating engineered hardwood floor in just 5 days. The workers showed up on-time, were professional, made an effort to clean up after themselves because we were still living in the unit while work was taking place. They quickly problem solved some unforeseen issues and made what was initially a painful experience such a sigh of relief knowing our home was in good hands. We had the CREAKIEST floors ever and now they are silent. We are in disbelief that Maya Construction delivered such quality professional work in such a short time period. You just dont see that anymore.

If we ever do any future major home improvement projects in Chicago, Im not making the mistake of going down the rabbit hole of a corporate organization. Maya Construction will be the first place we call.

This past summer, we had Maya extend the dormer on our two-story cape cod (Northwest Chicago) so that we could enlarge a bathroom and create secondary closet in our master bedroom. We also had them perform additional exterior work (replace all siding, gutters, soffit, fascia, and roof). Everything turned out perfectly in the end.

Ofer and Udi were very response and quick to resolve any issues that arose during the process. We were living in the house during the renovation, which could be stressful at times, but all the workers respected our interior space. We even had Maya refinish the hardwood floors and hang all new doors throughout our house since we were already living in a construction zone, and they had no problem accommodating our request. The finishing work was top notch and they were spot-on in hitting our design that we provided to them. I would recommend Maya for both structural work (additions) and interior finishing work.

We could not be happier that we chose to work with Maya Construction to remodel our Beverly basement. As soon as I spoke to co-owner Udi over the phone, Maya went straight to the top of my list. I really appreciated his prompt response to my online inquiry and the fact that he was able to give me a general idea of the cost over the phone. When we had Maya come out to give us a quote, he spent nearly an hour talking to us about the work and our different options. While the final quote he provided was in the same range as the other quotes we received, Maya was going to do A LOT more work for the price, including all new windows, replacing an exterior door, replacing all of the old pipes, and adding more vents/electrical outlets/and lights than the other companies.

Throughout our project, working with Udi and his partner Ofer was a great experience. They were in routine contact with us and everything felt very transparent. They helped us figure out the design for the basement and offered lots of helpful suggestions that we wouldnt have considered on our own.

Jack, the foreman, was incredibly knowledgeable and is a real asset to the company. Jack was particularly thoughtful when it came to installing the electrical outlets and configuration for the lights. He thought of things we never would have, but are now very glad to have.

Maya kept to both budget and schedule and when we did the final walk though, they implemented every change we identified, without any pushback. In fact, I recently reached out with a question about a wire, after the project was completed and they had received final payment, and Udi called me immediately to let me know that he would send Jack out to fix the issue the next morning.

From start to finish Maya, went above and beyond to make sure we were happy that we chose their company. Our basement turned out better than we couldve imagined. The next time we need work done on the house, we will absolutely be choosing them again.

After our basement flooded in May we reached out to over a dozen local contractors trying to get estimates. Maya Construction was the first to respond and after weeks of helping us fight with our insurance company we finally signed a contract and started work in July.

After roughly 3 weeks of work my wife and I couldn't be happier with the results. Not only did we get all the repairs needed to get things back to normal, but we also had several upgrades as well.

Throughout the entire rehab everyone who came in our home was polite and courteous and the quality of work is second to none. The project was completed on time and on budget, even with additional small requests we made along the way.

We highly recommend you consider Maya Construction for your remodel, and we plan to use them again in the future.
