St. Nicholas School is an independent Episcopal day school nestled on 24 acres in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Founded on a foundation of love, trust, and inclusion, we educate children from preschool through fifth grade. We nurture each individual's intellectual, social, and spiritual growth, fostering a lifelong love of learning and a commitment to service.

Our Beginnings and Growth

Founded as a neighborhood preschool program at Grace Episcopal Church, St. Nicholas School has evolved into a respected educational institution. Our expansion over the years has included the establishment of the Early Learning Center and the addition of elementary grades. We celebrated our first graduating class in 1978 and became a separately incorporated school in 1981.
