Our History
Fort Hill Animal Hospital has a rich history dating back to the early 20th century. Founded by Dr. Ackerman, the hospital has been a staple in the community for over a century. Over the years, the hospital has been owned and operated by several local veterinarians, including Dr. Arthur Trayford and Dr. Frederick O. Wright. In the 1980s, Dr. Henry J. Travis, a local veterinarian, purchased the hospital and has since dedicated himself to providing the best possible care for the community.
Our Veterinarians
Our skilled veterinarians, Dr. Henry J. Travis and Dr. Lyndsey A. Travis, are committed to staying at the forefront of veterinary medicine. With over 40 years of combined experience, they have treated countless animals and have developed a deep understanding of animal behavior and health. Dr. Travis is a graduate of Cornell University and has a special interest in surgery and emergency medicine. Dr. Travis has a keen passion for animal health and well-being and has worked extensively with companion animals and exotic animals.
