Our Story
Established in 2009 by an animal lover named Nicole, Paws and Claws originated from a deep-rooted passion for animal welfare. Nicole, having dedicated herself to volunteering and aiding shelter animals early in her career, transitioned from a corporate job to found our pet care company. Starting small in the Madison area with Nicole and her sister, Corinne, as the dynamic team, Paws and Claws steadily expanded their staff and services, now boasting a robust team of over ten devoted employees.
Corinne, a Marine Corps veteran with a lifelong admiration for animals, originally became an integral part of the company working for her sister. Her journey from fostering animals with her family to actively serving in the Marines and volunteering at animal shelters while pursuing higher education has shaped her dedication to animal care as well as leading a team of pet care professionals.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to cater to your pet's unique needs. Our dog walking services include 30 or 60-minute personalized walks, combining professional care, potty relief, and regular exercise for your pup. Our adventure hikes offer 90-minute experiences, exploring local dog-friendly trails on-leash, ensuring a lot of fun. Our cat sitting visits ensure your feline friend receives tailored attention, playtime, and cuddles. Our bed & breakfast service provides "almost overnight" care, with three-hour evening care, plus 30-minute morning and midday visits for ultimate devotion. We also offer exotic pet sitting for birds, small mammals, fish, reptiles, and amphibians, as well as dog waste removal services to ensure a clean yard for your family.
Our Team
Each member of our staff is Pet CPR/First Aid certified and has undergone the same training on pet sitting and basic pet behavior. Our team is dedicated to listening to the pets we care for, and we believe in providing a familial environment for every animal we serve.
