Blackbird Studio is a world-renowned recording facility located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. Founded by legendary sound engineer John McBride and his country superstar wife, Martina McBride, in 2002, Blackbird Studio is known for its state-of-the-art production facilities and unparalleled collection of vintage and modern recording equipment.
Our Services

Recording Studios
Our complex covers nearly a city block in the Berry Hill Neighborhood of Nashville, featuring nine different recording studios, The Blackbird Academy, a post-secondary audio engineering school, Blackbird Audio Rentals, and Inside Blackbird - a new online learning platform. Our studios offer a range of equipment and facilities to cater to the specific needs of our clients.
Studio A
Studio A is one of our flagship studios, featuring a highly-customized Neve 8078 console with an impressive pedigree. The room is designed to provide the perfect environment for recording, with a comfortable and intimate setting. Studio A is equipped with 11 different recording areas, including a variable Hidley-designed chamber with a scalable ceiling for customized reverb time. The large tracking room has adjustable flutter-free panels for added reverb control.
