Higher Vision Studios is a unique destination that offers a one-stop-shop for individuals of all ages seeking to improve their physical fitness, develop their martial arts skills, and have fun. Our mission is to provide exceptional instruction, inspire, and uplift every individual who walks through our doors. Since its inception in 1999, the studio has grown and evolved to become a beloved institution in the Hampton Roads area.
Our Story
Our journey began when our son, Maddox, was diagnosed with advanced bilateral retinoblastoma (eye cancer in both eyes) in 2011. We were told that even if he survived, he would likely lose one or both of his eyes. Doctors also predicted that if his eyes were somehow saved, there was no hope that he would regain any vision. We were presented with the "best-case scenario" that our baby boy would survive, but be blind forever. We knew it would take a miracle, but we chose to put our faith in God and believe that Maddox would heal completely and regain his eyesight.
After six months of chemotherapy, radiation treatment, and over 30 surgeries, Maddox's eyes miraculously healed from irreparable damage that should have required eye removal. He is now cancer-free and has regained excellent vision. We named our studio Higher Vision Studios in honor of our son's incredible journey and to inspire and uplift others who may be facing similar challenges.
Ninja Warrior/Martial Arts Program
At Higher Vision Studios, we offer a unique Ninja Warrior/Martial Arts program that combines martial arts, gymnastics, and exciting obstacle courses that change every week. Our program is designed to be fun and engaging for children of all ages. We currently offer one month of tuition for free, and you can check out our video to see what our program is all about.
Birthday Parties
Have you heard about our EPIC birthday parties? We offer a memorable experience that combines a Nerf War, Indoor Snowball Fight, Glow-in-the-Dark Dance Party, Bounce House, and Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course. Our calendar books up quickly, so be sure to plan ahead and reserve your date at least several weeks in advance.
Shine Time Foundation
Higher Vision Studios is the home of Shine Time Foundation, a non-profit organization that gives hope and happiness to children and families dealing with traumatic life circumstances. We create customized parties (also known as "Dreams Come True Days") and offer scholarships for Higher Vision Studios' classes and camps through our foundation.
