Lewis Mohr Insurance Agency is a family-owned and operated insurance agency that has been serving Baton Rouge and all of Louisiana for over 50 years. Our story began in 1968, when Lewis Mohr, a visionary entrepreneur, decided to leave his corporate job in banking to pursue his passion for helping people and providing quality insurance services. With a strong foundation of integrity, ethics, and industry-leading expertise, our agency has grown into a trusted name in the insurance industry.
Our History
Our journey started with Lewis Mohr's determination to achieve the American dream of owning his own business. He wanted to build strong relationships with his customers, provide excellent service, and offer high-quality insurance solutions. Tragically, Lewis passed away just two months after being diagnosed with lung cancer, leaving his 23-year-old son, Jeff, to inherit the family business. Jeff, who had been working at the agency since his teenage years, took over the reins and continued his father's legacy.
Under Jeff's leadership, the agency diversified and tripled in size. With the support of his wife, Lisa, they continued to focus on mentoring and providing a nurturing environment for their employees to grow professionally. Today, the agency is proud to be a family-owned business, with Jeff's daughter, Brittany, eagerly following in her father and grandfather's footsteps.
