Our History
Aviation Classics has a rich history that dates back to 1979, when our founder, Al Redick, Sr., came to Reno from Southern California to restore Bill Harrah's P-38 Lightning. Our story began with CIA Aviation at Reno-Stead Airfield, which later became Aviation Classics, Ltd., in 1987. After Alby Redick took the reins in 1989, he maintained the chapter 8(a) minority-owned company for over 20 years.

- General Aviation Ramp Services: We provide fueling services to the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Forest Service, Reno National Championship Air Races, Reno Pylon Racing School, as well as general and corporate aviation.
- Government Contracts: With our extensive experience in supporting national companies' governmental contracts, we stand ready to serve as the prime contractor in cooperation with our aviation partners.
- Warbirds: We specialize in the restoration, maintenance, and storage of warbirds, and have worked extensively with the U.S. Department of Defense in supplying Soviet and Warsaw Pact aircraft, maintenance, parts, and pilot flight instruction.
- Avionics: Our fully staffed and equipped FAA Repair Station and Avionics Shop provides repair and maintenance services for General Aviation, Corporate Aviation, and Warbirds.
- Fuel: As the exclusive provider of Phillips 66 aviation products on the airport, we offer a convenient and reliable fueling solution for our clients.
- UAV Testing & Maintenance: We offer comprehensive testing and maintenance services for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
- Storage and Recovery: Our team provides complete aircraft recovery and storage services for General Aviation, Corporate Aviation, and Warbirds.
