At NOMA, we're a bespoke property management, brokerage, and construction company founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Our focus has always been on the sustainable redevelopment of the Lower North Main Corridor (LoNoMa) in Ann Arbor, but we work across the state on complex urban, transit-oriented, placemaking projects.
Our Story
It all began when Peter and Sally Allen went canoeing down the Huron River in 1968. Peter knew then that he would have a future along the river one day. Today, the owner of NOMA grew up doing property management with Peter and now manages all of his portfolio along the river, as well as others in Ann Arbor.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive, up-valuing management, brokerage, and pre-development services to our clients along North Main, Ann Arbor, and beyond. We strive to be the trusted, go-to resource for everything related to commercial real estate development and management.

Our team is led by Douglas L. Allen, Owner and Mission Director, who has a passion for developing profitable, ecological, and socially sustainable mixed-use placemaking projects in and around Ann Arbor and Detroit. Our team also includes Jacob C. Phillips, Sales and Leasing Agent, and Sally H. Allen, CFO. Together, we offer a range of services, including property management, brokerage, construction, and more.
