Empowering communities, one bike at a time.

At Yellow Bike, we are a non-profit community bike shop with a mission to empower individuals through life-changing transportation. Our organization was created by the community and for the community, and our purpose is to be a force for social and climate justice and community empowerment.

Our Vision

Our vision is for a more equitable and sustainable world where all are able to experience the joy, freedom, and autonomy that cycling can offer. We strive to achieve this vision by providing access to affordable and sustainable transportation, as well as opportunities for education and skill-building through our workshops and classes.

Our Programs

Our programs are designed to promote community empowerment, social justice, and environmental sustainability. Our earned-a-bike program provides a unique opportunity for individuals to earn a bike by completing an educational program, while our get-a-free-bike program provides refurbished bikes to those who may not have the means to purchase one.

Community Engagement

Our community engagement efforts focus on fostering a culture of sharing, reuse, and recycling. We believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on our community and the environment. Our volunteer workshops provide a space for individuals to learn new skills, share knowledge, and build relationships.

Education and Training

Our educational programs offer hands-on training and workshops led by experienced instructors. Our introductory classes provide a foundation in basic bike mechanics, while our intermediate classes build on that knowledge to provide a deeper understanding of bicycle maintenance and repair.

Our Impact

We measure our impact by collecting data on the number of refurbished bikes, donations made to the community, and volunteer hours dedicated to fulfilling our mission. Our statistics demonstrate our commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and education.

Get Involved

We invite you to join our community and become a part of the change. Whether you're interested in volunteering, taking a class, or simply learning more about our organization, we welcome your involvement and support.

Join the Movement
