At Wenzl's Collision Center, we pride ourselves on being a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the Lincoln, NE community for over 50 years. Our story began in 1970 when Donald Wenzl Sr. opened Wenzl Body Shop, which was later relocated to its current location in 1981.
Our History
Donald Wenzl Sr. served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Metal Smith before attending Universal Trade School in Omaha. After his military service, he worked at various body shops in Lincoln as a technician and eventually became a Body Shop Manager before opening Wenzl's Body Shop. Marty, the current owner, began working with his father at Wenzl's Body Shop as a teenager and learned the trade hands-on. Marty worked alongside his father until Don sold the business in 1993 to a business group from Omaha. Marty returned to Wenzl's in 1996 and eventually purchased the shop with his wife Kelli in 2013, renaming it Wenzl's Collision Center.
Our Team
Marty Wenzl, our owner, has over 30 years of experience in the auto body industry. He has worked as both a technician and estimator/manager and holds various certifications, including ASE, I-Car, Chief Frame Training, and Spies Hecker Refinishing Training. Kelli, Marty's wife, has a background in claims adjusting for a large insurance carrier and has been working in the auto body industry since her retirement. Their son, Logan, is a talented technician and is also involved in the business.
