Our Owner's Journey
Born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, Simon's life took him on a journey across the world. From his boarding school days in India to his studies in various parts of the UK, Simon's path was filled with excitement and adventure. His professional career spanned the music industry, where he rose to prominence as a leader in the recording industry. With a keen eye for talent, Simon signed legendary artists and managed to transform them into international superstars. His later years in Hollywood saw him become the Head of Artist's and Repertoire Worldwide at Capitol Records.
From Music to Paradise
As Simon's professional journey came to a close, he found solace in the tropical paradise of Kauai. He began acquiring land on the island and started developing the property. With his keen sense of design and love for storytelling, Simon imbued the Hanalei Surfboard House with a unique blend of vintage and modern touches. Carefully sourcing recycled and salvaged materials, Simon created a haven that reflects his eclectic style and love for surf culture.
