Building community, one family at a time.

About Us

At Thrive Child Care and Family Resource Center, we believe that every child deserves access to high-quality early childhood education and care. That's why we were established by Christ United Methodist Church as part of a mission to end the cycle of poverty through providing excellent, affordable child care. Our center has been designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.

Our Philosophy

We believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences and interactions with their environment. Our program is grounded on four key components of early childhood education: Quality Interactions, Hands-on Learning, An Emphasis on Social and Emotional Development, and Family Partnerships.

Our Program

Our infant program provides experiences that respond to infant's natural curiosity and emerging skills. Our toddlers are curious by nature and enthusiastic explorers, and our preschool classrooms provide opportunities for exploring, playing, and experimenting while developing important skills for future success.

Family Resource Center

At Thrive, we believe that a strong partnership with families is vital to their children's success and a successful program. We encourage families to be active participants in their child's education. Our Family Resource Center will be a place to learn about community resources, talk with experts in the field, and connect with other families. Parent education and enrichment activities will be planned throughout the year to share information on a variety of topics and develop strong connections between our families.

Why Choose Thrive?

Our staff engages in quality interactions with each child. We provide an emphasis on social and emotional development, which is key to children's future success in school and life. We want our children to be able to make friends, regulate their emotions, and develop the skills they need to thrive in life.

Our History

Thrive Child Care and Family Resource Center began caring for children in the fall of 2018 to meet the needs of families in Rochester, Minnesota. We believe that everyone should live in a community where all children are prepared for school and success in life. Thrive also believes that supporting families is a key to the success of our community.

Our Staff

Our staff is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Our teachers model quality interactions, provide opportunities for children to explore and learn, and support social and emotional development.

Our Facilities

Our center is designed to provide a safe, healthy, and loving environment for children to learn and grow. We offer a variety of spaces for children to explore and play, including classrooms, playrooms, and outdoor play areas.
