Our History
Thalia Day School was established in 2007 as a non-denominational Christian day school. Although we are privately owned, we are housed in the beautiful facilities of Thalia United Methodist Church. Our school is conveniently located just blocks from Virginia Beach town center, making it an ideal location for families living in the area.
Our Services
We offer a range of services and programs designed to meet the unique needs of children from 6 weeks to kindergarten age. Our curriculum is based on the A Beka curriculum, which provides a strong academic foundation and emphasizes Christian teachings, moral and character development. In addition to our core curriculum, we offer a range of enrichment programs, including Spanish, chapel, art, music, and fitness lessons.
Our Enrichment Programs
Our enrichment programs are designed to provide a well-rounded education that goes beyond the classroom. Our Spanish program, led by Mrs. Mercedes, helps children develop language skills and cultural awareness. Our chapel program, led by Pastor Joe, provides a weekly opportunity for children to learn about the Bible and develop spiritual growth. Our art program incorporates creative activities that encourage self-expression and creativity. Our music program, led by our music teacher, introduces children to the world of music and performance. Our fitness program, led by Ms. Jess, promotes physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
