About the Owner & Craftsman

Robert Jenkins, the owner and craftsman of A Tack Above Upholstery, has developed his skills in upholstery and antique appreciation over the past 20+ years. His passion for this work began at a young age through school projects and sewing influences from his mother. Robert's diverse occupational background, including electrician and antique curating, has given him a strong understanding of design, fabrics, and style as it relates to upholstery and furnishings. Additionally, his love of antiques and knowledge of electrical work has allowed him to design custom light fixtures that are both functional and stylish.

Our furniture upholstery services include custom upholstery with total off-frame restoration, button tufting, and redesign or maintenance of original furniture style. We use only the highest quality fabrics and textiles in current market trends, and ensure that pattern matching and styling are executed with precision and accuracy. Our services also include upgrades of structure supplies such as new foam, feather, cotton stuffing, or upholstery over muslin. Additionally, we specialize in antique upholstery and styling.
