Our Story

Captain Paul Millar, an avid fisherman and outdoor enthusiast, turned his passion into a career by starting State of Mind Fishing Charters. Growing up in Lethbridge, Alberta, Paul always dreamed of living in the Flathead Valley and sharing his love of fishing with others. As a certified Respiratory Therapist and Advanced First Aid/CPR instructor, Paul brings a unique set of skills to the water, ensuring that our guests' safety is always our top priority.

Our Charters

We offer half-day and full-day charters on both Flathead Lake and Whitefish Lake, operating primarily out of the Somers, MT Flathead Lake boat ramp. Our boats, the Maverick 1 and Maverick 2, are fully equipped with state-of-the-art gear, including 4-stroke outboard motors, heated full enclosures, electric trolling motors, and comfortable seating. We'll provide the fishing gear, snacks, and drinks - you bring the enthusiasm!
