The House of Findings is a boutique located in the retail oasis of Upper Buena Vista in Miami, Florida. We specialize in mixing vintage, global, upcycled, and handmade women's clothing and accessories, as well as similarly sourced home furnishings and art. We like to call it a "collection of collections".
Our selection ranges from the Victorian era through the 1990s. We've collected amazing pieces during our travels, from Paris to Brazil to up and down the Eastern Seaboard. Hence, the word "findings" - special, one-of-a-kind items we bring to your wardrobe and home. It's treasure hunting at its best!
Concept & Mission
The House of Findings is a boutique founded on the principles of sustainability, creativity, and self-expression. Our evolving concept is rooted in the history of our owner, Mayra, who founded the original Miami Beach Findings boutique in 1989. Since the early days, we have committed ourselves to "vintage" sustainable creative fashion, always supporting multicultural artisans and crafters, providing a unique shopping experience for you.
MAYRA GONZALEZ
Creative Director, Manager, and Buyer
Mayra has over thirty years of experience in the fashion industry. She developed high-level skills while employed as a buyer in New York's Garment District from 1979 to 1989. She has also represented young designers, launching the careers of many now-established professionals, and merchandised several designer jewelry brands.
Born in Cuba and raised in the United States, Mayra is bi-lingual, bi-cultural, and a gypsy at heart. Mayra has been an avid vintage collector since the 1970s when she discovered, with her Mom, the fantastic flea markets of New York and New Jersey. Mayra opened the original Findings boutique in Miami's South Beach shopping district, soon expanding to a larger venue, where the boutique thrived from 1989 to 1995. That Miami Beach experience is the inspiration for The House of Findings second incarnation established in Boston in 2012. The Miami store opened in 2018 and, now, in Spring 2021, we are happy to have launched our new website. This is Mayra's largest collection and continues to grow organically.

Biorn's career in international development work and academic research includes overseas field projects, acquainting him personally with indigenous peoples and peasantries who are crafters, artisans, and designers. A philanthropist, Biorn has dedicated his life to fostering global cooperation and cultural understanding. As President of The House of Findings, he brings his wealth of experience and network to the table, ensuring that our boutique stays at the forefront of sustainability and responsible fashion practices.
