Above & Beyond Cakes is a custom cake and dessert bakery serving Nashville and middle Tennessee. We specialize in high-end weddings, Quinceanera's, anniversaries, and custom cakes for birthdays and other celebrations. Our bakery is now open to the public on Wednesdays from noon-8pm and Thursday to Saturday from 10am-8pm. Our passionate team, led by Meghan and Daniel Jimenez, is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, stunning cake designs, and delectable flavors that will leave your taste buds wanting more.
Our Story
Meghan's love for baking, designing, and sculpting cakes began as a child, baking with her mom, sisters, grandmother, and aunts. In 1999, Meghan took an 8-week basic cake decorating class at a local church, where she learned the art of piping buttercream. This is also the year that Meghan and Daniel met and fell in love, while working in the Sacramento Costco bakery department. Over the next 13 years, Meghan elevated her skills by taking countless online classes and tutorials, as well as making hundreds of cakes for family and close friends.
In 2012, Daniel and Meghan opened their first commercial kitchen in Elk Grove, CA. Daniel specializes in customer service, vendor and venue relations, designing, and networking. With the help of their two teenage sons on production tasks and their two younger sons as "taste-testers, " this family-owned business is a proud mom-and-pop operation.
