Meet Dr. Maria and Her Staff
Dr. Maria Castaneda is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She earned her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine and completed her pediatric specialty certification as Chief Resident from Staten Island University Hospital in New York. Dr. Maria is also a Clinical Professor of Dentistry, where she taught dental students and pediatric dental residents. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the Florida Dental Association.
Dr. Maria is known for her compassion, commitment, and technical skills, making her one of the best children's dentists in the area. She is specialized in Laser Dentistry, also known as "No Needle Dentistry, " a less invasive way to do dental fillings and other procedures on children. She is Laser Certified by the Academy of Laser Dentistry and the College of Clinical Laser Dentistry and holds an Associate Fellowship within the World Institute of Laser Dentistry.

Children's Laser Dentistry
Dr. Maria is a leader in Children's Laser Dentistry in the Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and Palm Beach areas of Florida. Laser Dentistry is a less invasive way to do dental fillings and other procedures on children. With Laser Dentistry, there is no need for needles or drills, making the experience less scary and more comfortable for children.
Dr. Maria is Laser Certified by the Academy of Laser Dentistry and the College of Clinical Laser Dentistry. She earned an Associate Fellowship within the World Institute of Laser Dentistry, making her an expert in this field.
First Smiles
At Boca Delray Pediatric Dentistry, we believe that oral health starts at an early age. That's why we offer our "First Smiles" program for children under 2 years old. During the first visit, we will examine your child's mouth, teeth, and gums to ensure they are developing correctly. We will also provide you with information on how to care for your child's teeth and gums at home.
Philanthropy
Dr. Maria is a firm believer in the power of philanthropy. She donates her time to the dental clinic at Our Lady Queen of Peace church in Delray Beach, where she treats underserved pediatric patients. She is also passionate about her work as the first and only children's dentist on staff at the clinic. Dr. Maria also volunteers on overseas dental missionary trips.
