Who We Are
At Kickstart Kids, we believe that every child has the potential to achieve great things, and our mission is to empower them with the character, resilience, and community needed to reach their full potential. Founded in 1990 by martial arts world champion, actor, and philanthropist Chuck Norris, with the help of President George H.W. Bush, our program teaches character through karate to middle and high school students.
What We Do
Our program is designed to promote character development, academic achievement, and healthy lifestyles among middle and high school students. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to build strong character, and our program provides the tools and support needed to achieve this goal. Our daily classes, delivered by black belt instructors during the school day, include martial arts instruction and lessons from our unique values curriculum, which focuses on character values such as discipline, respect, and kindness.
Why Character Through Karate?

Our Values

Our Impact
Since its inception, Kickstart Kids has reached over 110,000 students, and our program is now offered in over 59 public schools across the state of Texas. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to participate in our program, and we strive to reach every school, community, and student in our state and beyond.
