At Gracious Bakery + Cafe, we are proud to be a New Orleans-based business that has been serving the community since 2012. Our journey began with a passion for creating delicious baked goods and a commitment to using only the finest ingredients. Our story is one of entrepreneurial spirit, dedication to quality, and a love for sharing our creations with others.
Our Story
Our bakery was founded by husband-and-wife team Megan and Jay Forman, who share a passion for baking and a dedication to quality. Megan, our Co-Owner and Executive Chef, is a NOLA native and graduate of the New England Culinary Institute. With over twenty years of experience in some of the city's finest restaurants and patisseries, Megan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our bakery.
Jay, our Co-Owner, is the behind-the-scenes mastermind who keeps our administrative machinery running smoothly. With his uncanny ability to enter credit card slips and sales transactions into QuickBooks, he is the unsung hero of our operation.
Our Bakery
At Gracious Bakery + Cafe, we offer a wide range of freshly baked goods, from laminated French pastry to hand-shaped breads, creative sandwiches, and unique desserts. We use only the finest ingredients, including Plugra butter and King Arthur flour, to ensure that every bite is a delight.
Wholesale and Catering
We also offer wholesale services to coffee shops, hotels, and restaurants around town. If you're interested in learning more about our wholesale operations, please contact us at wholesale@graciousbakery.com.
We also cater to events and parties with our delicious baked goods. Our catering menu includes a wide range of options, from sandwiches and salads to breads and pastries. We're happy to accommodate special requests and dietary restrictions.
