BR Wood Design is a licensed and insured custom wood shop located in Clarkston, Michigan. We service all the surrounding areas. Each job is designed and crafted right here in Michigan. We are dedicated in providing timeless designs, quality craftsmanship, and attentive customer service. Before the project begins, we offer in-home consultations, including a free design service for all cabinetry projects, so that the project is accurately laid out. As the project continues, you will see that same dedication to your project. We meticulously hand select each piece of wood to ensure quality and visual appeal. Our Story

In 2006, BR Wood Design started a custom cabinet company and mill work shop in Clarkston, Michigan. Prior to the start of BR Wood Design, our owner, Brent received a degree in aquatic biology. During college, unbeknownst to him, Brent began his training for woodworking, which would later become not just a job, but his passion. To help pay for college, Brent worked for a master carpenter. Graduation from college hit right at the early 2000's recession and biology jobs were hard to come by. He was hired by a local cabinetry company in 2003. Here he added to his knowledge and experience under another highly skilled woodworker. In 2005, the company he worked for shut its doors. Following his passion and the American dream, Brent obtained his builders licence and began BR Wood Design. As a side note, many ask why the "BR". The B and R represent our two families who helped us get to this point. With the financial support and backing of our families, we were able to start our BR Wood Design.
