About Us
Ballet Chicago is a professional track school of ballet founded in 1987 by acclaimed dancer/choreographer Daniel Duell and former ballerina Patricia Blair. Our school is dedicated to providing exceptional training in classical ballet techniques, emphasizing the Balanchine style. Our faculty is comprised of esteemed professionals with extensive experience in the world of ballet.
Services
Our programs are designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in classical ballet. Our curriculum is based on the Balanchine Technique, and our students are trained to excel in a range of performance genres. Our extensive repertoire includes masterworks from the Balanchine Trust, new works, and original productions.
Ballet Chicago Studio Company
Our Studio Company provides an accelerated performance program that offers students a unique opportunity to gain years of on-stage experience. Our company members perform an extensive Balanchine repertoire, including new works and masterworks reserved solely for professionals and the most accomplished students worldwide.
Preparatory Division to Professional Division
Our programs cater to students of all levels, from preparatory to professional. Our Preparatory Division is designed for students who are new to ballet or seeking to refine their skills. Our Student Division is geared towards students who have some experience in ballet and are looking to take their technique to the next level. Our Professional Division is reserved for the most advanced students who are preparing for a career in dance.
Summer Programs
Our Summer Programs offer students the opportunity to intensify their training and performance experience. Our Summer Intensive provides students with a comprehensive ballet education, while our Advanced Repertory Workshop focuses on the development of advanced performance skills.
