Empowering a brighter future through junior golf
The Tarheel Junior Golf Tour (TJGT) is a premier junior golf tour in the United States. Founded in 2011, the tour has been providing young golfers with competitive opportunities to develop their skills and prepare for the next level of their golfing journey. Originally called the Tarheel Golf Foundation, the organization was rebranded as the Tarheel Junior Golf Tour in 2022 when it was acquired by Drip Golf LLC. Our mission is to positively affect the lives of children through the game of golf by promoting integrity, honesty, and respect for all people on and off the golf course.
Competitive Tournaments and Rankings
TJGT offers 36-hole events that are ranked nationally, giving junior golfers the chance to compete on some of North Carolina's finest golf courses during weekends. With a strong reputation for hosting the most competitive junior golf tour in the state, the TJGT attracts top-ranked players not only from the "Tar Heel State" but also from over 20 other states. Players compete for individual tournament championships and season-long Money and Scoring Leader competitions.
The Money Leader competition is designed after the PGA Tour Money List, with tournaments assigned a purse ranging from 5-10 million dollars in value. Players earn "dollars" based on PGA Tour purse distribution formulas, and the leading "money winner" receives a special award at the end of the season. The Scoring Leader competition, modeled after the PGA Tour's Vardon Trophy, recognizes the player with the lowest scoring average in tournament competition.
Commitment to Growth and Development
TJGT is committed to fostering the growth and development of young golfers. We provide opportunities for players to learn and grow, both as athletes and as individuals.
