Our Story
Founded in 1947, Art Sign Company has been a leader in the sign industry for over seven decades. With a rich history and a commitment to excellence, we have earned a reputation as the best sign builders in the area. Our story began when Chandler Grey Dillard, a talented young man, created show cards for USO Shows in the Navy while stationed in Hawaii. After leaving the Navy, Chandler and two friends opened "Modern Art Sign Company" in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Over the years, the company grew, and Chandler's two sons, Joe and Dan, were taught the trade and eventually took over the company.

Fabrication

We have a fully equipped fabrication facility that includes two state-of-the-art spray booths and a modern neon plant. Our team of experienced fabricators uses Heliarc welding and other techniques to create signs that meet the highest standards.
Installation
Our installation team is well-organized and knowledgeable, with a fleet of crane, ladder, bucket, and auger trucks equipped with experienced installers. We offer full lighting service and maintenance through our Art Lighting Division, which provides a range of services, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
Permitting
Our permitting department takes care of all permitting needs, from engineering to submitting to municipalities, tracking reviews, and providing updates when permits are approved. We have great relationships with many South Florida Building Departments, making the permitting process smooth and efficient.
Lighting Services
Our lighting services include designing, fabricating, and installing illuminated signs. We also offer full lighting service and maintenance through our Art Lighting Division, which provides a range of services, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
