Our Story
At Strategic Logistics, we're proud to be a third-generation, family-run transportation management company. We're dedicated to keeping your freight moving, no matter its destination. Our story began in 1972 when Bob Sr. turned 18 and started hauling fertilizer to local farms from the city of York. He took his first solo trip to Atlanta, Georgia, which took him an hour to back into the dock! In 1994, Bob Sr. teamed up with Bob Jr. to found Strategic Logistics. They started small, renting one desk in another company's maintenance department for $100 a month.
Over the years, we've grown and expanded our operations. In 1996, we bought out a distribution company up the street and moved our operations to that building's second floor. In 1997, we offered full-service transportation management services to a company in Lebanon, Ohio, running their 29-truck operation out of an on-site office. In 2012, Bob Sr. retired and sold his shares of the company to Bob Jr., who took over full-time. Today, we have over 10,000 contracted carriers in the continental United States.
Our Mission
At Strategic Logistics, our mission is to provide exceptional customer service while keeping your freight moving. We're committed to eliminating headaches before they occur through our advanced technology and expertise. We're proud to be an EPA-certified SmartWay partner, dedicated to improving freight transportation efficiency to benefit public health and the environment. Our average fleet is only 3-4 years old, and we're constantly working to increase our trucks' miles per gallon. We also use recycled, recapped tires whenever possible to lessen our environmental impact.
