The Light House

The Lighthouse Rehabilitation Center was founded in 1987 by Jim and Dorothea Wilson with a mission to provide exceptional care for individuals with brain injury, spinal cord injury, and behavioral health needs. The center's name reflects its purpose, making sure that the life its residents are living is a life worth living. With a focus on rehabilitation and recovery, the center offers a range of services including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, respite care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and much more.

The center's treating team is exceptional in rehabilitation and recovery, with a multidisciplinary approach that includes professionals in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, recreational therapy, music therapy, social work, and psychological services. Additionally, the center offers vocational services, behavioral health support, and respiratory therapy, among other services.

The Lighthouse Rehabilitation Center is dedicated to providing a home-like environment for its residents, focusing on maximizing each client's functioning ability and assisting them in gaining insight, enhancing self-esteem, developing coping skills, and improving relationships. The center's programs are designed to promote independence, self-respect, and positive peer relationships in a supportive and caring environment.

Services Offered

The center offers a wide range of services including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, respite care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, recreational therapy, music therapy, social work services, psychological services, vocational services, behavioral health support, and respiratory therapy. They also provide specialized services such as Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), Aquatic Therapy, Adaptive Sports, Hippotherapy, and LSVT BIG & LOUD, among others.

The center accepts various insurances including Auto Insurance, Workers Compensation, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Med + Blue, Blue Care Network, Hap, and Medicare. They also accept MDHS-BTS (previously known as MOU Program) for residential services.
