Our mission is to acquire, preserve, and promote the significance of this industry's history, connecting the past to evolving technologies and cultures. THG was founded in 1990 by a group of retired and active telecommunications employees who recognized the importance of preserving the history of this industry.
Our Museums and Archives
We operate two museums located in Denver, Colorado, and Seattle, Washington, as well as an outstanding archive. Our museums feature a wide range of exhibits showcasing the development of the telecommunications industry. In Denver, our museum is located in the historic 931 14th Street building and includes museum space, original executive offices, and Allen Tupper True murals. Our Seattle museum, formerly known as the Herbert H. Warrick, Jr. Museum of Communications, boasts an extensive collection of switching equipment, telephones, central office and outside plant equipment. Both museums are open to the public, with guided tours available by appointment.
Our archive in Denver contains over 80,000 photographs, slides, and other items, as well as historic documents and memorabilia.
