Our Story
Established by Frank and Karen Altamura, our winery is the only one located within the Napa Valley appellation in Wooden Valley. As Napa natives, Frank and Karen have a hands-on approach to every step of the growing and winemaking process, ensuring that our wines reflect the Altamura's deep commitment to reflecting the terroir of Wooden Valley.

With an average "Wine Spectator" score of over 91 points for the last 10 vintages of Cabernet Sauvignon, our wines have garnered consistent critical acclaim.

Our Restaurant: Ciccio
We're proud to feature Altamura Wines at our restaurant, Ciccio Napa Valley, located in Yountville, California. Here, you can try some Altamura wines that are otherwise exclusive to the Altamura Visitor Center, along with two special house blends created to pair perfectly with the fresh ingredients featured at Ciccio.
About the Altamura Family
Frank Altamura's lifelong passion for winemaking began with his early days working with his cousin, a vineyard manager, right out of high school. His formal viticultural training began at Sterling Vineyards in 1976, where he developed his concept of growing grapes for quality rather than quantity. This concept was further refined during his time at Caymus, where he worked under the mentorship of Charlie Wagner.
