Our Mission and Model
At Providence Cristo Rey High School, our mission is to provide a transformative educational experience to students from low-income families. We believe that every student deserves access to a quality education, regardless of their economic background. Our college and career preparatory program is designed to help students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in college and their future careers.
Our Services
We offer a comprehensive education that prepares students for college and professional careers. Our program is built around a rigorous academic curriculum, combined with a corporate work experience program and a faith-based environment. Our students are encouraged to grow in their faith and develop their leadership skills through various extracurricular activities and community service projects.
College Prep Academics
Our college prep academics program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education that prepares them for success in college and their future careers. Our curriculum is built around a challenging, college and career preparatory framework that includes classes in English, Math, Science, and Technology. We also offer Advanced Placement (AP) and dual credit courses in a variety of subjects, at no cost to our students.
Corporate Work Experience
One of the unique aspects of our program is our corporate work experience component. Every student works one day a week for one of our 100+ corporate work study partners. This program not only helps students earn money to offset the cost of tuition, but also provides them with valuable work experience and professional skills. Our students are mentored by professionals in their chosen fields and receive continuous training in professional and soft skills.
Faith-Based Environment
At Providence Cristo Rey High School, we believe that faith is an integral part of the educational experience. We welcome students from all faith backgrounds and provide a faith-based environment that helps students grow in their faith and develop their leadership skills. Our students participate in regular Catholic Masses, retreats, and other faith-filled activities throughout the year.
