History of the Institute
We are proud to have been established in 1989, with our founder, Helen M. Wood, being licensed as an educator and practitioner in the same year. Helen is a renowned expert in the field of colon therapy, having trained colon therapists since 1980 and being trained by Dr. Robert A. Wood, DC. With years of experience in the field, Helen is renowned for her expertise in colon therapy and has written curriculum, item writer for the Florida State Exams, and co-author of Colon Health with Dr. Norman Walker.
Our Services
At Wood Hygienic Institute, we offer a range of services that cater to the needs of our students and clients. Our services include:
- Massage Therapy Program: Our 500-hour massage therapy program is designed to meet the requirements of the Florida Board of Education and the Florida Board of Massage. Our program has a 98% pass rate for the national massage exam, making us one of the top massage therapy programs in the industry.
- Colon Therapy Program: Our colon therapy program is designed to educate students on the proper methods of cleansing the colon using the body's natural abilities, enhancing absorption and elimination. Our program is a total of 100 hours, which may be taken concurrently with the massage therapy program or at any time after becoming a licensed massage therapist.
On-Site Services
In addition to our educational programs, we also offer on-site services for those seeking massage therapy and colon therapy. Our services include:
- Massage Therapy: We offer various massage therapy services, including Swedish, therapeutic, and hot stone massages. Our licensed therapists will work with you to create a personalized massage therapy plan tailored to your specific needs.
- Colon Therapy: Our colon therapy services include internal baths that help cleanse the colon of poisons, gas, and accumulated fecal matter. Our therapists will work with you to create a personalized colon therapy plan tailored to your specific needs.

We also offer consultations with our expert therapist, Helen M. Wood. Our consultations are designed to provide personalized guidance and support to help you achieve your health and wellness goals.

Booking and Scheduling Issues
