Introducing Binford Metals: Your Trusted Recycling Partner

Welcome to Binford Metals, your reliable and ethical recycling center serving Tacoma and the greater Puget Sound region. As of November 1, 2023, we are proud to continue the legacy of Puget Sound Recycling, which has been a staple in the community for over 30 years. Our family-owned and operated business is committed to providing fair market prices and exceptional customer service.

Our Humble Beginnings

Founded by Donny and Janet Bullard in 1993, Puget Sound Recycling has been a cornerstone in Tacoma/Pierce County, offering top-quality recycling, drop-off, and pick-up services. The Bullard family has dedicated over 35 years to the recycling and scrap industry, building a reputation for honesty and integrity.

What We Offer

At Binford Metals, we continue to provide top-dollar for all ferrous, non-ferrous, and scrap metals, including aluminum, steel, alloy, copper, brass, car parts, and batteries. We are committed to staying up-to-date with all commodity prices to ensure our customers receive the best and most competitive rates.

Here is a comprehensive list of the materials we accept:

  • Aluminum Cans: We recycle all types of aluminum cans, and as a rule of thumb, 30 cans typically make up to 1 pound. We offer a price bonus for recycling over 100 pounds in bulk.
  • Non-Ferrous Metals: We accept various non-ferrous metals, such as cans, copper piping, wire, high-temperature alloys like monel and inconel, and more.
  • Steel and Car Batteries: We purchase car batteries and other car parts, such as radiators, wheels, hubcaps, transmission casings, alternators, motors, and more. Note that we cannot accept anything with oil in it, so please ensure it is drained before bringing it in.
  • Specialty Metals: We deal with various specialty metals, including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, and brass.
