Rubbish Interiors, a Los Angeles based interior design firm and showroom, has been a staple in the interior design industry since 1994. Founded by artist, vintage furniture collector, and interior designer Scott Mangan, Rubbish Interiors has been providing discerning interior designers and distinguished clients with residential and commercial furnishings of both contemporary and traditional styles.

Located in the heart of Silver Lake, Rubbish Interiors has been a go-to resource for set designers, interior designers, local artists, and vintage furniture enthusiasts for over two decades. Our Story

In 1994, when Silver Lake was still just a bypass from East Hollywood to the 5 Freeway, Scott Mangan opened the first Rubbish Interiors shop on Silver Lake Blvd. Soon, set designers, interior designers, and local artists started showing up at the shop, knowing that Scott's knack for finding unique and trending pieces from every corner of the country would never disappoint.

Scott's fine arts background, unique sense of style, and unusual combinations have led to major decorating commissions, beginning with photographer Herb Ritts and now for an extended roster of celebrity and other creative clients. After moving to the current location, Scott expanded the business by setting up beautiful and comfortable vignettes of sitting areas, living rooms, bedrooms, and dining rooms. Combining Modernism with Regency, and Asian to Contemporary, customers soon started wanting to bring Scott's sense of design into their homes, and the Interior Design business took off.
