Empowering People to Heal and Build Better Lives
At Odyssey House, we are dedicated to empowering individuals to heal and build better lives. Founded in 1971 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we are the largest and most comprehensive addiction treatment center in Utah. Our mission is to provide comprehensive care that addresses the entire person, not just the addiction. Our evidence-based programs are designed to help individuals overcome the complex challenges they face and achieve long-term recovery.
Adult Residential Program
Our Adult Residential Program is a 28-day intensive treatment program that addresses the physical, emotional, and psychological effects of substance abuse. Our program is built on evidence-based best practice models and is designed to help adults successfully overcome each barrier they face. Our program tackles drug addiction from the ground up, addressing issues such as substance abuse, mental health, negative beliefs and behaviors, poor job skills, housing, physical health, and rebuilding healthy relationships.
Our treatment team includes licensed mental health therapists who are specially trained to work with mental health issues like depression, anxiety, mood disorders, antisocial personality disorder, and trauma. Our program helps individuals improve their communication skills, emotion regulation, and address the negative stigma associated with drug use. We also provide life skills training, education, and recreation activities to ensure a healthy routine and a sense of community.
Our Philosophy
Our addiction treatment model provides opportunities for leadership in the peer community, creating self-worth and motivation. We believe that living a healthy life is vital to staying sober. Our program reinforces a healthy routine while in treatment, including cooking, doing laundry, and keeping a clean space. We also provide education and vocational services to help individuals gain new skills and achievement.
Youth Treatment Programs
At Odyssey House's Youth Treatment Programs, it is our mission to help teens reach their full potential, free of drugs and alcohol. Our Teen Residential Program has been open since 1978 and has a strong reputation for successfully helping youth struggling with addiction, mental health, and physical health issues. Our services address the whole person to ensure lifelong recovery. Teens in our inpatient program participate in 25 hours of therapeutic activities each week, including individual therapy, group therapy, trauma services, family therapy, and psychiatric services.
