At Trade Team, we're more than just a team - we're a family. Our story began over 140 years ago, when Charles J. Colonna founded a marine repair company in Virginia in 1875. That company, Colonna's Shipyard, is still in operation today, and is the oldest continuous family-owned and operated private shipyard in the United States.

Over the years, we've grown and expanded, and in 2004, we established Trade Team to provide temporary skilled labor to local Virginia marine businesses. Today, we're proud to offer hundreds of talented men and women of various trades to the marine, industrial, and manufacturing markets across the United States.
