Inspector's Performance
The reviews highlight a significant difference in the performance of the inspector, Tom. While some reviewers, such as Curbud and Jans Visker, praised Tom's professionalism, knowledge, and thoroughness, another reviewer, John Alfonzo, had a completely opposite experience.
Positive Experiences
Reviewers who had a positive experience with Tom appreciated his responsiveness, punctuality, and professionally conducted inspections. They also appreciated the detailed reports he provided, including a preliminary printed report and a comprehensive PDF report sent via email. Tom's willingness to answer questions and offer recommendations for possible solutions was also viewed positively.
Negative Experience
On the other hand, John Alfonzo's experience was marred by Tom's failure to report mold issues in the attic, which was later confirmed by three separate companies to be a significant problem requiring a $12,000 remediation. Tom's dismissed the issue as "old water stains, " which was misleading and cost John Alfonzo dearly.
Cost and Refund
John Alfonzo's review also highlights the issue of cost and refund. Despite the oversight, Tom's contract seemed to absolve him and his insurance from any fault, leaving John Alfonzo to foot the bill for the mold remediation.
