At Maui Kajukenbo, our mission is to enrich the community by building positive citizens through discipline, self-esteem, confidence, and ethics gained through the martial arts. We believe in the development of important life-skills that will help our students excel in all aspects of their lives.

Our Philosophy

We believe that the martial arts can be a powerful tool for personal growth and development. Our classes are designed to help students of all ages and skill levels achieve their goals, whether it's to get in shape, learn self-defense techniques, or simply to have fun and challenge themselves. Our experienced instructors are committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment, where students can grow and thrive.

Services

We offer a variety of classes for children, teens, and adults, including:

• Kids Class: Designed for children ages 5 to 12, our kids class teaches basic martial arts techniques, including blocking, striking, and kicking. Our instructors focus on helping children develop self-discipline, respect, and self-confidence through fun and engaging training.
• Teens/Adults Class: Our teens and adults class is designed for individuals ages 13 and up. This class covers a range of techniques, including blocking, striking, kicking, takedowns, and grappling. Our instructors focus on helping students develop their physical fitness, coordination, and confidence.

Our instructors are highly trained and experienced in the martial arts. They are dedicated to providing expert instruction and guidance to help our students achieve their goals.

History of Kajukenbo

Kajukenbo was created in the 1940s by a group of martial artists who came together to develop a system that combined the best techniques from various martial arts styles. Today, Kajukenbo is practiced by thousands of people around the world, and we are proud to be a part of this rich and storied tradition.

Our Kajukenbo symbol is a symbol of our values and philosophy. It represents the balance of hard and soft, the harmony of opposing forces, and the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
