With a rich history dating back to 1881, Incarnate Word High School has been dedicated to providing a comprehensive education to young women in a faith-based environment. Our History
Incarnate Word High School was founded by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in 1881. The school began as a co-ed grade school located at the corner of Crosby and Willow Streets. Over the years, the school grew and evolved, eventually becoming a separate high school for girls. In 1950, the school opened its current campus, which has since become a flagship institution in San Antonio.
