Management Issues
Jessica Smith's experience with Simply Steamboat was extremely disappointing. The company failed to rent out her property, despite being located in the same area. They were unable to list the property on VRBO or Airbnb, and when asked about the issue, they claimed they didn't know how to fix it. As a result, the property sat vacant for the entire summer.
Poor Management Practices
The company charged Smith hundreds of dollars for a "deep clean" of the property, which included professionally cleaning the brand new carpets and Ruggable rugs, despite the rugs not needing professional cleaning. They also charged $250 to apply for a short-term rental license, but failed to do so, and still haven't returned the money.
Unprofessional Behavior
Smith found the company to be unprofessional and unapologetic about their mistakes. They never received an apology, only excuses and blame-shifting between coworkers. Other owners in the same unit reported similar experiences with Simply Steamboat.
