Overall Experience
The nursing home in Northern Manhattan generally provides good care for its residents, with some areas of improvement needed.
Facilities and Maintenance
One major issue mentioned is the lack of effective supervision by the head of the maintenance department, leading to problems such as a broken ice machine on the 4th floor and inadequate air conditioning on the same floor. However, prompt action was taken to address these issues, and a new larger ice maker and new wall-mounted AC units have been installed.
Staff and Care
Most staff members are very helpful and respectful, with some exceptions. Some staff members have been reported to be dishonest, unprofessional, and untrustworthy, with instances of favoritism and verbally abusive behavior towards patients.
Residents' Experience
Residents have reported mixed experiences, with some enjoying the clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, and social events. Others have experienced discomfort due to the lack of ice and inadequate air conditioning.
Food Service
The food service has been praised as superb.
