Staff and Care
The reviews highlight the importance of staff and care at Alta Vista Healthcare. Randy Weston praised the kindness and gentle care provided by the nurses, CNAs, and physical therapists, who helped him recover and regain strength. Brenda Nicholson, a nurse herself, appreciated the cleanliness and care provided to her mother, acknowledging the staff's efforts in keeping the facilities clean and attending to wounds.
Communication and Neglect
However, several reviewers expressed concerns about communication and neglect at the facility. Shari Kirkpatrick mentioned that it took 8 days for her father's intake meeting to occur, resulting in a bed sore. Her father had to rely on family members to advocate for him, as the staff's response time was slow. Vicki Garrido and Frank Petrucci reported instances of neglect, including unattended patients and unresolved issues. Randy criticized the nurses' communication skills, stating that they would provide incorrect information about patient readiness for transportation.
