Rising Star Theatre

The Rising Star Theatre Company was founded in the summer of 2009 by Nick Halder and Megan Schumacher. Our mission is to provide quality productions, meaningful production experiences, and varied theatre study opportunities for Dubuque and the surrounding tri-state communities. Over the years, we have successfully staged numerous productions, including High School Productions, Family Productions, Youth Productions, Summer Camps, and special events like Cabaret Series. Our programming aims to educate and entertain, promoting community participation and appreciation for all aspects of theatre.

We believe that the skills participants develop through arts activities are invaluable for their lives. Our productions cater to diverse age groups, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to engage with the performing arts. Services Offered

Our services include a range of programs designed to cater to different age groups and interests. These include:

• High School Production: Open to students completing 8th grade to graduating high school.
• Family Production: Suitable for all ages based on the casting requirements of the show.
• Youth Production: For ages eight through eighteen, ensuring every child who auditions is cast.
• Summer Camps: For students of all ages, offering a variety of activities and training.
• Cabaret Series: A series of events held throughout the year, showcasing a range of performances and entertainment.
