Initial Experience
L. P. had a frustrating experience with the firm, which started with ghosting. The author was recommended by a high-net-worth neighbor and contacted the firm to prepare their 2023 taxes several months before the tax season. They sent their previous years' tax returns and a specific list of questions regarding a 1099 for a freelance vendor they use. However, despite receiving a request for this information, the firm failed to respond.
Tax Prep Kit and 1099
The author notes that their new clients typically expect a tax prep kit, which was not sent to them. Furthermore, the firm failed to provide the 1099 despite multiple attempts to follow up.
