Improving the Quality and Availability of Healthcare in our Community
The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation: Improving Healthcare for the Community
The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality and availability of healthcare in the Town of East Hampton. Since its inception in 1998, the Foundation has worked tirelessly to provide accessible, quality, and affordable primary healthcare to the community.
Our Mission
The mission of the East Hampton Healthcare Foundation is to improve the quality and availability of healthcare for all citizens of the Town of East Hampton, including the uninsured and underinsured, with one standard of care for all. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial situation.
Our History
The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation was founded in 1997 by John R. Kennedy, Chairman, and Jerome J. DeCosse, Jr. MD, Ph. D., President. The initial phase of the organization focused on conceptualizing and building the East Hampton Healthcare Center at 200 Pantigo Place, which was completed in 2002. Since then, the organization has continued to grow and expand its services to meet the changing healthcare needs of the community.
Our Services
The East Hampton Healthcare Center provides a range of healthcare services, including:
- Board-certified physicians and specialists
- Handicapped-accessible office space and patient rooms
- Modern suites for digital radiology, digital mammography, and bone densitometry services
- Medical laboratory for patient specimen collection
- Pharmacy to serve patient medication needs
- Counseling and patient advocacy services
- Space for other health services, such as social service agencies
Our healthcare center is also equipped to provide urgent care services through our affiliation with Meeting House Lane Medical Associates, a division of Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.
Our Future Plans
The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation is committed to continuing to improve healthcare services in the community. Our current project is the development of a freestanding emergency department, which will provide 24/7 emergency care services to the community. We are excited to bring this new level of healthcare services to the residents of East Hampton.
Our Leadership
The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation is led by a board of trustees, comprising local residents who govern the organization. Our executive director, Sheila Rogers, has been instrumental in guiding the organization's growth and development over the years.
