Massachusetts Assisted Living

Welcome to the Massachusetts Assisted Living Association (Mass-ALA), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of assisted living residences in Massachusetts. Since 1990, Mass-ALA has been the leading voice of the assisted living community, providing information, education, and advocacy on behalf of our members and the seniors they serve.

Our mission is to lead the assisted living industry in its service of seniors through advocacy, education, operational support, and enhanced growth opportunities. We are committed to promoting a model of care that treats all residents with dignity, provides privacy, and encourages independence and freedom of choice.

At Mass-ALA, we understand the importance of providing quality care and services to seniors in assisted living residences. That's why we offer a wide range of resources and support to our members, including regulatory updates, education and training programs, and advocacy efforts at the state and federal levels.

Services Offered

Mass-ALA offers a variety of services to our members, including:

• Regulatory Updates: We provide regular updates on state and federal regulations affecting assisted living residences, helping our members stay informed and in compliance.
• Education and Training: We offer a variety of education and training programs for assisted living professionals, including in-person and virtual trainings and webinars, QA/QI virtual trainings, and boot camp virtual trainings. Our programs are designed to enhance the professional development of assisted living staff and improve the quality of care and services provided to seniors.
• Advocacy: We advocate on behalf of our members and the seniors they serve, promoting policies and practices that support the assisted living industry and improve the lives of seniors. Our advocacy efforts focus on state and federal legislation, regulations, and policies affecting assisted living residences.
• Consumer Resources: We provide resources and support to seniors and their families looking for assisted living residences, including a search tool to find an assisted living residence, a guide to payment options, and information on how to choose an assisted living residence.
• Sponsorship and Events: We offer sponsorship opportunities for companies and organizations looking to support the assisted living industry and connect with our members. We also host events throughout the year, including our annual excellence awards, training and webinars, and other networking opportunities.
